A long-term condition causing widespread body pain, fatigue, poor sleep and tender points across the body.
Fibromyalgia is a long-term condition that causes widespread pain throughout the body, along with tiredness, poor sleep and tender areas in the muscles. Many people also notice difficulty concentrating, sometimes called fibro fog, as well as headaches and low mood. Its exact cause is not fully understood, but it involves increased sensitivity to pain. There is no single test, so diagnosis is based on symptoms.
