Polyposis

Polyposis is the presence of many polyps, small growths that form on the lining of an organ, most often the bowel. Some forms run in families and carry a raised risk of bowel cancer if not monitored. Polyps often cause no symptoms, though there may be bleeding or changes in bowel habit. They are usually found and checked through colonoscopy.
