Polymyalgia
Modern MedicalPolymyalgia, usually referring to polymyalgia rheumatica, is an inflammatory condition that causes pain and stiffness in the shoulders, neck and hips. Stiffness is typically worst in the morning and can make it hard to get out of bed or raise the arms. It mainly affects people over fifty. Blood tests showing raised inflammation markers support the diagnosis.
