Erythromelalgia

Erythromelalgia is a rare condition causing episodes of burning pain, redness and warmth, usually in the feet and sometimes the hands. Flare-ups are often triggered by heat, exercise or standing, and are typically eased by cooling the skin. It may occur on its own or alongside other conditions, including some blood disorders. Diagnosis is based mainly on the pattern of symptoms.
