Treatment cost
We do not publish a price for hairfall treatment, and that is deliberate. AVN Arogya does not use fixed protocols — the treating physician designs each programme individually, and it is that protocol which determines the cost.
It is only at the end of your consultation that the physician can say which kind of care you actually need:
- Outpatient — medicines to take at home, with review visits. The least involved option, and for many people it is enough.
- Visiting therapy — you come in for therapy sessions over a period and return home the same day.
- Inpatient admission — you stay with us for intensive daily therapy. Here the estimate also depends on the duration the physician recommends and the room category you choose.
Once those are decided we give you a written estimate for your own plan, including what your insurance is likely to cover. Quoting a figure before the assessment would mean quoting one that may not apply to you.

Root-Cause Follicular Nutrition.
Rather than offering topical cosmetic quick-fixes or temporary chemical serums, AVN targets hair loss from within—addressing systemic Pitta heat, scalp microcirculation, and deep tissue (Asthi Dhatu) nourishment. Targeted Stress & Neuro-Endocrine Care.
Recognizing the strong link between chronic stress, sleep disruption, and hair shedding (such as telogen effluvium), AVN integrates therapies like Shirodhara and Takradhara that directly lower cortisol levels and calm the nervous system.

Hairfall — Frequently Asked Questions
Coverage varies by condition and severity. Here's what you need to know: Conditions that may qualify for IP (inpatient) coverage: • Complicated Type 2 diabetes — with neuropathy, diabetic foot, non-healing wounds, or poor glycaemic control despite medication (ICD E11.x) • Severe thyroid conditions requiring intensive management (ICD E03 for hypothyroidism, E05 for hyperthyroidism) • Metabolic syndrome with multiple complications Generally NOT covered: • Simple obesity management or weight loss programmes — most insurance policies do not cover obesity as an IP condition unless there are significant comorbidities • Outpatient consultations and oral medicines • Preventive or wellness treatments AVN Arogya is NABH-accredited, which is a requirement for insurance coverage of AYUSH treatments. Our insurance desk will: • Review your policy to determine what's covered • Verify empanelment and cashless facility availability • Handle pre-authorisation documentation with appropriate ICD codes • Ensure medical necessity criteria are properly documented We recommend contacting our insurance desk before your visit. With 96 years of institutional experience, we have well-established processes for insurance claims and documentation. We'll give you a clear picture of what to expect financially before you commit to treatment.
Yes — inpatient (IP) treatment for severe psoriasis and eczema is covered under health insurance at AVN Arogya, which is a fully NABH-accredited hospital. We use standard ICD-10 codes: L40.x for psoriasis and L20.x for atopic eczema/dermatitis. What's typically covered: • IP Panchakarma programmes for moderate-to-severe cases (>20% body surface area involvement, or cases that have failed topical/conventional treatment) • Room, board, medicines, and therapy charges during admission • Cashless facility available for empanelled insurance companies What's generally NOT covered: • Outpatient (OP) consultations and medicines • Mild cases that don't meet medical necessity criteria for admission IP admission is genuinely recommended for moderate-to-severe skin conditions — this isn't about gaming insurance. Intensive daily Panchakarma therapies, dietary regulation, and physician monitoring produce significantly better outcomes than OP treatment alone for serious cases. Our insurance desk will verify your policy coverage before admission so there are no surprises. With 96 years of clinical experience, AVN Arogya has well-established processes for insurance documentation and claims.
Yes, many health insurance policies cover inpatient Ayurvedic treatment under the AYUSH benefit, subject to the terms and conditions of the policy. The extent of coverage—including eligible treatments, room rent limits, waiting periods, and exclusions—varies from one insurance provider and policy to another. As coverage is policy-specific, we recommend that you check with your insurance provider to confirm whether your policy includes AYUSH benefits and whether your proposed treatment is eligible for coverage. AVN Arogya is NABH-accredited and empanelled with most major insurance companies and TPAs, enabling eligible patients to avail cashless treatment or reimbursement assistance, subject to insurance approval.
AVN Arogya is NABH Accredited, reflecting our commitment to maintaining high standards of patient safety, clinical care, quality management, and healthcare practices. We follow NABH standards across our operations, ensuring a structured approach to treatment protocols, patient care, safety practices, and continuous quality improvement.
Yes. AVN Arogya provides the necessary supporting documents to help international patients apply for a Health Visa. Based on the treating doctor's recommendation, we can issue an Invitation Letter stating the medical condition, the need for inpatient treatment, and the recommended duration of stay at the hospital. This letter can be used to support your health visa application. Where required, we can also generate the Invitation Letter through the FRRO portal as per the applicable guidelines. To prepare the invitation letter, patients are required to provide a copy of their passport and other relevant details requested by our team. For assistance with health visa documentation or to request an invitation letter, please contact our Customer Care Team at +91 95002 92220. Our team will guide you through the documentation and application process.
We understand this conversation can be difficult. A few approaches that work: (1) Start with a telemedicine consultation — hearing from a qualified physician is more convincing than a website, (2) Share specific case outcomes for their condition (we can provide references), (3) Emphasise that we work WITH their existing doctors, not against them, (4) Reassure them that they won't be asked to stop current medicines, (5) If they're hesitant about travel, our visiting specialists at 6 clinics across 6 cities may be closer. Our care coordinators are experienced at having these conversations with families.
Consultation fees are ₹150 for a phone (tele) consultation with a Physician or Senior Physician, ₹300 for an in-person consultation and for a review with a Senior Consultant Physician, and ₹500 for a video consultation with a Senior Consultant Physician. First-time patients pay a one-time registration fee of ₹50 in addition, except for phone consultations. OP therapy packages are quoted separately, based on the treatment plan your physician recommends after the consultation. We provide a detailed cost estimate before treatment begins — no surprises.
