About Lepanam
A non-sudific external application categorized under Bhirparimarjana (external treatments). It is removed strictly before it dries completely to prevent localized skin irritation and to preserve therapeutic efficacy.
When Lepanam may — and may not — be appropriate
May be appropriate for
- Gouty arthritis (Vatarakta), localized inflammatory swelling, acne, skin diseases, and localized pain.
When it should NOT be done
- Application during the night, applying over completely dried up previous layers, and hypersensitivity to specific raw herbs.

What to Expect During Lepanam
A localized cooling or warming sensation depending on the herbs used, reduction in throbbing pain, and minimization of surface swelling.
