About ksheeradhara

Panchakarma literally means 'five actions' — the five classical procedures described in Ayurvedic Samhitas to eliminate accumulated toxins (Ama) and rebalance the doshas at their root. It is one of the most evidence-based streams of Ayurveda for chronic disease management and deep preventive care. At AVN Arogya, Panchakarma is always preceded by careful preparation (Purvakarma) and followed by post-therapy regimens (Paschatkarma) — never administered as a standalone cosmetic wellness package.

When ksheeradhara may — and may not — be appropriate

May be appropriate for

  • Autoimmune disorders
  • Rheumatic and joint diseases
  • Chronic skin conditions
  • Neurological conditions
  • Metabolic disorders
  • Fertility and reproductive conditions
  • Periodic preventive care (Rasayana preparation)

When it should NOT be done

  • Acute febrile illness
  • Severe debility or emaciation
  • Advanced cardiac or renal failure
  • Late pregnancy
  • Children below 10 without specific paediatric protocol
  • States of severe acute inflammation — preparatory treatment needed first

The decision is always individualised by your treating physician.

What to Expect During ksheeradhara

Panchakarma begins with 3-7 days of preparatory oil therapies (Snehana) and sweating (Swedana). The main eliminative procedures are scheduled over the next 1-3 days, followed by a graduated return to normal food and routine. Expect to feel lighter, sleep better, and see measurable improvements in whatever was brought to treatment.
