About Akshi tarpanam

A premium classical therapy for the optical system. It nourishes the optic nerve, stabilizes the extraocular muscles, and reverses eye strain caused by screens.

When Akshi tarpanam may — and may not — be appropriate

May be appropriate for

  • Computer vision syndrome, dry eye syndrome, macular degeneration, and refractive errors.

When it should NOT be done

  • Active conjunctivitis, eye infections with pus, immediate post-eye surgery recovery, and severe lacrimation (tearing).

The decision is always individualised by your treating physician.

What to Expect During Akshi tarpanam

Mild initial blurriness (due to ghee), followed by brightened vision, lubricated eyes, and a substantial reduction in ocular burning.
