When Shirovasti may — and may not — be appropriate
May be appropriate for
- Facial paralysis, severe cranial nerve disorders, chronic migraines, optic atrophy, and stubborn insomnia.
When it should NOT be done
- Coryza (acute runny nose), severe cough, fever, pediatric patients under 7, and scalp lesions.
