My name is Narayanamurthy. I come from Palani, Dindigul district. I am an assistant manager at the Indian Bank in Palani. In July 2020 I had a Covid attack. I was in treatment for about 15 days. There they used steroids on me. Steroid injections, plus after discharge they gave a tablet called dexamethasone, taken three times a day. That is a steroid tablet. What happened as a consequence, as a side effect, was that I developed a disease called avascular necrosis. I could not walk. They had reckoned that this avascular necrosis came mostly to Corona patients — during this Corona period that is how they reckoned it. Because of that difficulty I could not go to the office. I could not sit. I could not walk. I could not take even a single step. I asked allopathic doctor friends of mine. They said the only source for this was surgery — go for surgery, a total hip replacement, they said. Now, a total hip replacement would not suit my duty and my work at all, so I asked my friends. My wife is from Kerala, and a relative of hers is a BAMS Ayurvedic doctor. Through her they recommended I go to this AVN hospital. I came to this AVN hospital last April. Dr. Biju was the one who attended to me. The moment I saw him I felt very satisfied, very glad, thinking how he would heal me. When I was first admitted here on 1 April they had said 15 days of treatment, and I was admitted for 15 days. For the first four or five days after admission the pain was rather difficult. Actually, when I came to this hospital they brought me in a wheelchair. I could not even walk from the car to the room. The nurses took me in a wheelchair. After that, within three or four days of treatment I began to get up and walk; I was able to walk. Then within a week my pain began to reduce. On the 14th day, when they discharged me, I was very well and felt very good; I got up, walked, got into the car myself andwent home. Then, at the discharge itself, they had said there would be a second review after about six months, and monthly reviews like that. Monthly reviews for about six months. And after six months, after April, they had said there would be a one-week admission in October. It is for that one-week admission that I came today. It has been a week and they are discharging me today. Within these six months, because of my duty and my work, some pain began again. When it did I consulted the doctor here, and they said to be admitted. So I came and was admitted. Having been admitted it is quite all right. Now they have prescribed some treatments to do at home. They have mentioned some things like the powder poultice at home. They said that if I take that treatment it will come right for me. So I have confidence that if I take that treatment it will come right. I have the confidence that this pain will reduce. They told me that this AVN is not a curable disease. They said it will be lifelong, like diabetes. Even so I have confidence; the doctor has instilled confidence in me. From arriving in a wheelchair I can now walk, the pain has reduced, and I can do my normal duties. As for this hospital, the hospitality is truly wonderful hospitality. I have never seen the doctor frown. Likewise I have never seen any of the staff here frown or be harsh. They treat you very well. They treat you like a guest, like family. Staying in this hospital, I have no feeling of being in a hospital at all. It feels to me like going on a tour and enjoying myself in a tourist place. Because apart from the treatment times, they attend to you well — the nurses too; when it is time for therapy they alert us ten minutes in advance. Sir, your therapy is ready, please come — they alert us ten minutes beforehand. Those formalities are good. I have not seen that at other hospitals. I am not saying this asflattery. I was genuinely satisfied in my mind. I have even shared this news with my friends. I told them first of all, sir, these people are perfect and systematic. Likewise the therapists are very good; they have come from Meghalaya, and there are our own Tamil Nadu therapists too. Very politely they stay with us, take us along, finish the therapy, and even while doing the therapy they ask, is there any pain? Are you comfortable? When you lie face down and they massage your back they ask whether your chest can bear it. That is good. They do not simply do their duty and go. They pay close attention to our comfort. That is very good. That is why I came the second time without missing it. Likewise, when giving the medicines and tablets, the nurses come three times a day as soon as you have finished eating. I do not know how they come so exactly. As soon as you have finished eating they come at exactly the right moment and give it. They take it out themselves saying you must take this tablet, and go. The qualities of it are good. The quality service is good. And daily they come and ask whether the qualities are as they should be. The sanitation is good. Daily they wash and clean, and change the bed and everything; it is nicely hygienic. Because of the Corona period they are very careful. Actually it does not feel to me like being in a hospital at all. Even with this pain, it feels to me as though I have come on a tour. A very good hospital; this is a hospital I like. I am not saying it to flatter or to please — I am saying what I genuinely feel. The doctor who attended to me, Biju sir, kept instilling confidence in me, saying you will get better, be well, stay in a positive frame of mind, it will certainly get better. And the other doctors — Dr. Aarya, Dr. Karthika and Dr. Parvathi and the rest — even at night, one day when I had a headache from sinus trouble, they gotup that night and came and attended to me. They attended to me even very late at night before going. The nurses said, sir, if there is any problem call at once, do not stay silent at night keeping it to yourself. So it is good for me. Because my medicine is Ayurvedic medicine there is no side effect. And it avoids a surgery. With surgery, if something goes wrong the problem stays for a lifetime. But to avoid that, this hospital is a satisfaction to me. Truly very satisfying. I have recommended it to a great many of my friends. A good many people have come here, taken treatment and gone. From now on I will certainly recommend this hospital. Thank you.
