Transcript of the video above.

I am the secretary of a group of Christian educational institutions and of the DAWN trust. About ten years ago I had a pain that radiated. We saw doctors then; they said it was a disc problem and gave tablets. After that it was reasonably all right. From 2020 the pain began to come frequently. It would radiate on the left side and radiate on the right side. We assumed it was a disc problem and kept taking tablets from local doctors. Last October I went to see a doctor, an orthopaedic. There they did a scan and looked at it, and at first suspected a disc problem. Then they said another scan had to be done, and after looking at that, they said the problem was in the hip — in what they call the ball and socket joint. They told me to be admitted to a bed immediately. I was in hospital for a week. But there was no medication at all; they said this is a rare problem, the only option is hip replacement surgery. They said, go home and come back within a week and have the hip replacement surgery done. After that, when we browsed on Google, there was no option. For this AVN case, avascular necrosis, everywhere we looked it said the only option is surgery. Then, when we discussed it as a family, we said no to surgery and decided to search for some other option, and when we searched the internet thoroughly it was my sister who identified this. Searching for avascular necrosis, I found that this AVN Arogya Ayurvedic Hospital in Madurai was the only one doing this. We thought we would at least speak to them, and we did a tele-consultation. Dr. Sridevi spoke to us. I sent all my reports. She looked at them and said, come, we can do it. After that a person from the admissions desk here followed up with us. He told us about room availability, and on the day we came they gave us a room. After arriving here, two things struck me. One is our state of mind. The other is the setting. Ifboth of those are right, the body comes right. That is the sort of thing I felt here. After coming here, Dr. Sonu was the first to examine me. Even as he spoke he gave me a positive energy and a confidence — do not be afraid, everything will come right. Before that I had been rather confused; they were saying surgery, and if I could not walk, what would I do. Then, as soon as I said I was going for Ayurvedic treatment, everyone said, they will do massage there, you have a bone problem, and if they do something like that your leg will end up so that you limp. But I trust God. I prayed first and then came. I came with faith. Then Dr. Sonu gave good positive energy. Then Dr. Ramesh — he is the MD of this place. He is a down-to-earth personality. What he said on day one I liked very much. He said: you have this disease condition. But we will not say we will completely cure it — we will not give you false hope. You are at stage three; we will certainly work so that you do not go to stage four and are retained at stage three. So your own belief matters a great deal. And after that, with the medicines we give and the treatment, we will certainly send you home able to walk and do your own work. That gave me a positive energy. After that, as I looked at each thing here, there was a system; everything here happened systematically. If a system is right, confidence comes to us. That confidence came to me. This location was very, very good for the mind — it felt like coming from a busy place to a peaceful one. The atmosphere itself felt as though it were healing us. There was no thought at all of having come to a hospital or of being under treatment; it felt like having come to a holiday resort and being very much at peace. Initially I thought only I would take treatment at this hospital. Seeing everything here, my husband also had a neck problem, and we had him treated too. Hisresolved completely and he is very much satisfied. And here the nurses all come exactly according to the schedule. Therapy at 7:00 in the morning, a therapy at 2:30 in the afternoon, and physio in between. In everyone here I could see a calm and a gentleness; nobody is angry or irritable. They provide everything on time. When it is time for therapy the therapist comes in the morning, comes before 7:00 exactly, takes us along, finishes the therapy, and is very attentive right from helping us down the steps to bringing us back and leaving us at the room. Among the therapists I should mention Abi, a girl called Naya, Sangeetha and Jones, and a good many other young people. All of them were very, very attentive and did it very well. It was a kind of relaxation, and more than that it kept us at a confident level, that we are recovering. From the nurses' station they give the tablets exactly, before food and after food. Likewise they keep a chart in our room. Daily they come and change the timings on it, and they change the therapy times too. And the nurses keep a medicine chart there as well; they enter day by day what they are giving us. Everything was systematic. After that, housekeeping — usually anywhere, whether a hospital or any institution, some problems come, a bathroom problem or an electrical problem. If we called, our people came the very next second and put everything right immediately. That was very, very good. There is nothing here to complain of. Everything was very good. Personally I had a great deal of pain, and as time went on I felt that pain recovering. And the inpatients here — I am at stage three; there are two other people at stage three, I met one person at stage two, and at stage four a very, very young chap, only 20 years old. Seeing them, we all shared a positive vibe among ourselves. Truly we feel we have connected as a family. My discharge istomorrow and there is certainly a feeling of missing this. Sir told me he will certainly see to it that I do not go to stage four. My pain has reduced to the maximum extent and I have gained a confident level here. I certainly have the confidence that once I go out I will be able to do my work more positively. So I am very much satisfied. So thank you to God for connecting me to a place like this, and many thanks to my sister for connecting me. And one more thing I should say: they do not advertise at all. That struck me very much indeed. You do not call people saying this is good, come, come. It is on the feedback of people like us, who have taken treatment and felt it, that a great many people come here. The hospital is always full. I witnessed that too. So whoever has any problem, come, take treatment, be healthy. God bless you.
