Hello. My name is Devicharan. I am at AVN Arogya, Madurai, supporting my mother; she is 74 years old. I am just going to speak about the experience at AVN. If you ask what the problem was — in 2015 my mother fell down and had a fracture in her leg. She had the fracture and had surgery and all of that, and that was okay. After that, in March 2021, my mother slipped and fell again and had a hairline fracture in the spine. So that was in March, and I went about it normally and took medicines; I gave my mother medicines. They had just tied a belt on and given only painkillers for the pain. So how it was, was that normally, when taking the medicines, the pain would go, and after that the pain would come back and keep accumulating. So this kept on coming for about 4 or 5 months, and then it was like this: only while taking the medicine would there be no pain, and afterwards the pain would begin to come again. So I was thinking about what to do for a lasting solution to that, and friends were all referring things. At that time what they said was, try Ayurvedic treatment; it will have a good effect. So I was trying to find out what could be done in Madurai, what Ayurveda there was in Madurai. At that time, through one of my friends, he referred AVN to me. All right, let us go and see, I said, and I first came and looked. I brought my mother and we were seen. On being seen, I saw Dr. Sridevi madam. Having seen us and analysed everything, she certainly spoke hopefully to me. She said that if treatment were certainly done through oil massage, the pain would certainly reduce. She said it could certainly be cured, up to 80% certainly, due to the age factor also. All right, okay. To be frank, I had no idea at all about Ayurveda; I had never taken anyone for it and had never done it. All right, because as far as I knew there did not seem to be any other options in allopathy. Sobecause of that I said, let us try this, and I came and admitted her at AVN. So once that was done, in the very first two or three days, as for how they gave the treatment — they gave massage twice, morning and evening, they gave massage therapy, plus additionally they gave medicines to take, things like decoctions and tablets. Plus they took care of everything themselves. There was nothing about needing someone to be with her. Each and every thing, from giving the medicine to giving the food, they saw to themselves. Even to attend to clients I went out, went home and came back. At those times my mother was alone. There was no fear at all, nothing of the kind. So fully and entirely they took full care and did everything. So in about one week — my mother would keep telling me continuously in the morning. She would say what pains she had. But as that one week of treatment went on, my mother said that the pain had reduced. Plus after one week she only mentioned that slight pain; and after that — whereas before, my mother could not get up, she could not get up and would struggle. While getting up she would have that pain. But now all that pain has reduced for her. So it reduced. She had about 2 weeks of treatment. So now, as you see, my mother has confidence in herself. To the extent that she can manage by herself, she has the confidence to manage alone. So I am very happy. I have confidence too, to the extent that I can leave my mother and go and she will be alone and will manage. Thanks to AVN. In this, if you ask what I should say specifically, AVN Hospital is — how shall I say — a very calm atmosphere. And at the same time it is very large. In the sense that when you come inside I get a nature feeling. What I marvelled at greatly is that there is such a large place within Madurai. There is a lot of nature in it. So I feel a kind of natural atmosphere there. My motherwould go walking from the morning and do that. There was a naturalistic feel. And if you look at the rooms available, there are separate rooms of every kind, there are AC rooms, there are non-AC rooms; they have that sort of variety of tariffs and variety of things. So each person can choose according to what suits them. Plus the nurses and junior doctors were all very, very cooperative. If you phone they come at once and help with everything. So they gave the medicine themselves. The junior doctors come first and take all the case history. Having taken it, they see how it is today and what treatment we are going to give, and do all of it. After that, for my mother, Dr. Sridevi would come; she comes daily and sees to her. She would see how it is and what there is and do everything. So it actually felt like a home feel to me, and to my mother. So my mother is really very happy. Because that pain had been continuous for 5 months for my mother. Now through this, the pain for my mother is gone, right? So that is a very happy thing. Other than that, okay, I am very happy with AVN Arogya. Thank you. Thank you so much.
