Hello. My name is Lakshmi. I am sixty-three years old. I come from Anna Nagar, Madurai. For the last ten years I had knee pain. In November I slipped and fell down. My knee and my back were badly injured in that. As soon as I was injured I went to a hospital. They immediately told me to have an MRI scan. The minute after it was taken they said, you must have an operation, otherwise your left leg will stop working. Generally speaking, I have had two or three operations on my body. So I am afraid of operations, and I said no, and I asked my son. My son and daughter-in-law are both doctors; they are in Chennai. They said, no, mother, the operation must be done; nothing else, nothing else can be done for it; you have already been to Kerala treatments and they did not come right. I said, no, my boy, I will try once more, and a friend of ours in Chennai said, you go there, mother; I say so too, you go, go there, it will come right for you. So on the fifteenth of January I came to see sir. I came to see him, and when my son said he was a doctor, sir spoke to my son himself. Send your mother, he said. They were very happy. Then I came on the seventeenth of March. For about five days I had a feeling that something was still there. After five days there was a good improvement. It was very good. All the young people were good. I was here without even an attender; I was alone all these days, all twenty-one days, and I was very happy. I came with one ailment or two in the body, and now I have a feeling that every ailment in the body, from the crown of my head to the inside, has been put right. I feel very happy. That is what I say — I came in distress in my treatment and now it is as though I am going away happy. The hard part is that I did not know of this hospital all these years; now that I know, I am very happy. I am well. The knee pain has come right; the leg moves and I canwalk. I used to walk leaning at the hip, and now I walk nicely straight. All of it makes me very happy. All the young people looked after me like their own mother.
