In Kalamaheshwar’s own words

Greetings. My name is Kalmesh. I have come from Gulbarga district, Karnataka state. For two months my leg had been troubling me when I did my morning exercise. It would happen like this, and it would ease for fifteen or twenty minutes, and if I left it, it did not ease. And then the pain would not settle. I showed it to a doctor; the doctor did an X-ray and everything. He did the X-ray and gave tablets. He gave tablets and nothing eased. We took tablets for fifteen or twenty days as well. Then, wondering what to do, we thought we would show it to a doctor once more. The doctor did an MRI. In the MRI there was something else, called AVN. AVN, in the medical term here, is called avascular necrosis. Because of it the blood supply does not reach the bone. On that account the bone begins to decay somewhat. The sooner you take treatment, the sooner you can be set right by Ayurvedic treatment. The doctor said mine was at the second stage. After the doctor said that, the solution for it — in allopathy, the only solution is a replacement, doing an operation. And even if an operation is done, it lasts about ten years. After ten years you have to have an operation again. If you keep doing it every ten years, and your age is thirty, thirty-two, then having this operation would mean two or three operations even by fifty or fifty-five, all in the same place. That is not good; there is a risk in operating on the same place. So, thinking I should avoid an operation somehow, I was searching on Google. In that I came to know that there is a hospital called AVN Arogya in Madurai, in Madurai city in Tamil Nadu state. I phoned them immediately and spoke to someone called Sanjay sir. He gave me all the information and sent it all to me on WhatsApp. Looking at all the information, at what sort of patients had done well and everything, I thought I should go there, and I told them I wouldcome and be admitted. Going there, the doctor told me what sort of pain you have, what condition it is, how you will improve, and accordingly that it would take more or less seven, ten or fourteen days. They said that even if nobody comes with you, you need not be alone there, if you are able to walk. The food there, the housekeeping, all the staff there are good. Our treating doctor was Ramesh sir. Ramesh sir is very good. He can speak every language. If someone comes from north Karnataka and cannot manage to speak, there are doctors for them, all of them. Every day there are rounds, they take a date-to-date update of whatever has happened and change your treatment accordingly. The junior doctors were Karthika and Anamika. They too were good. They gave the doctor all the updates. The therapists — one was Karthik. All the therapists are good and all the staff are good. Coming here, the environment nowhere feels like a hospital; it feels rather as though you have come to a resort or a hotel. The food was good too. There is nothing of that sort here. For a patient the food has a little less taste, but you have to be like that. Now, comparing the pain — from what it was before I came, more than eighty per cent of the pain has reduced. The doctor has given tablets for a month and a half. After that, he has said that if I take the precautions he has described for three or four months, the pain will reduce completely. If you too have pain of this kind and do not know what it is, then AVN.
