My name is Janarthanam. I come from Ramanathapuram, Ramanathapuram district. I was a postmaster and retired six months ago. For the past five or six years my whole body was completely in pain. Besides that I had back pain and shoulder pain. I went to many orthopaedic doctors for it, and in the end, because nothing resolved properly, I learned through my own circle that there was a place at Vilachery, and I was admitted to this hospital on the 9th, on 9 August. Before that I had come here and consulted on 23 July. The one who saw me was Dr. Biju. He checked my whole body and said, if you come and take treatment here for about ten days, I will do it for you. Before this I had been to orthopaedic doctors. They said an operation had to be done on my spinal cord. I consulted several orthopaedic doctors. They said something like calcium had been deposited in my spinal cord. They said it had to be operated on immediately, that I had suffered a paralytic episode and it had to be done at once, that I must be admitted immediately. But I did not get admitted there; I was relieved and discharged from there, and after that, through my sister, I came to this Vilachery Ayurvedic treatment. Here Dr. Biju gave the whole treatment. Wonderful treatment. After coming here my back pain has reduced by about 90%. So only a little shoulder pain remains. For that there are another ten days, and mine finishes tomorrow. It even finishes on Sunday. But they said that if I stay another four days and are treated it will come right. I have said I will come next month. But truly, it is only after coming here that — when I used to walk I would walk with an oscillation. All of that has come right for me here. Likewise, as soon as hip pain came in the body there would be terrible pain in the morning. That too, over the week I have been here, has gone without any pain, and a wonderful treatment has beengoing on here. It is entirely Ayurvedic. In it, for two days they apply oil all over and do something like a massage. Then they use hot water all over. Next, for two or three days, with that same oil they massage and then wash the whole body down in the oil itself, and do it with heat. Through this they draw the blood circulation properly all through our body. Because of that the pain in the body has reduced by 90% for me. There is about 10% left, and they have said they will put that right too. So the confidence — truly, having escaped an operation, if I am here today, be assured of it. My body is reasonably well. For the rest I offer my thanks to God. That is what it comes to. And there are good staff here who are kind and affectionate. So there has been no difficulty at all in staying here, and they give wonderful food too. So now the ache in my body has reduced by about 90% and only about 10% remains. If I stay here four days or a week next month, we have full confidence that it will hold. So this Ayurvedic treatment is truly a wonderful treatment. At first I did not know of it — if I had known of it first, I would have been free of this problem and the difficulty I have suffered for five or six years. So from now on I offer my thanks to God.
