Hello. My name is Hussain Imam. I have come from Manapparai, Trichy district. I found AVN Hospital by searching on the website. At first I had prepared to go to some Ayurvedic centre in Kerala. Then, searching the website for whether there was one in Tamil Nadu, the first thing I found was AVN Hospital, Madurai. About six years ago I had what they call Guillain-Barre syndrome, GBS. I was affected by it. All my limbs were totally paralysed. I was abroad, and there they gave me allopathic treatment and set it right. But I did not recover completely. I had numbness in my hands and legs, a weakness, body pain, hip pain, neck pain, knee pain — all of it continuously. As for the nature of my job, I have to sit and work at a computer for ten to twelve hours daily. Working like that was very hard for me. I decided that on this leave — that is, I have come to India on leave from abroad — on this leave I must go to some Ayurvedic centre and do some rehabilitation programme, and so I came to AVN Hospital. I found everything here as I had expected. When I first came to the hospital, after everything was examined, they took me to Dr. Biju Madhavan. One of the best doctors. As far as I have seen, I have not until today felt there was an Ayurvedic doctor quite like him. A good, approachable, good doctor. He said, stay here ten or fifteen days, we will give you all the Ayurvedic therapy, and you will get a good improvement. I listened to his advice and stayed here. But fortunately or unfortunately, within five days an emergency came up at work. I took my discharge in five days and left. But over these five days I was completely, completely satisfied. That is, the treatment there was very good indeed. Professional hospital management. Everything here is properly set up. The same feeling you would have going to a big corporate hospital, I had here. Completely 100% satisfied with theservices — the nursing, the room service, the nursing care, the laboratory, everything was very fine and very good. They gave me treatment for five days. Every day, morning and evening, they gave me Ayurvedic therapeutic treatment. The therapists all have very good hands, very first class, involved, dedicated; they did it wonderfully. As for me now — when I came here I came as a rather less active person. I had thought there was some disability in my body. Within five days I have had about a 70 to 80% improvement. I have the confidence that if I had stayed another five or ten days I would have got 100% relief. But I will come back again. I will return, because I have to go abroad urgently.
