Osteoporosis

condition

Osteoporosis is a condition in which bones lose density and become weak and brittle, raising the risk of fractures from minor falls. It often causes no symptoms until a bone breaks, typically at the hip, wrist or spine. It is especially common in women after menopause and is measured with a bone density (DEXA) scan. Ayurveda relates it to Asthi Kshaya.
