My name is Vijayarani and I come from Chennai. Actually, nobody recommended this treatment to me. I went to a great many treatments myself; for the past six years I had been struggling badly with this neck pain. This neck pain then radiated to the back of my head, and after that it hurt completely down to the fingers, and I was struggling. I had already tried a great deal — allopathy, physiotherapy, and after that acupuncture, a great many. When I felt it would be good to do a proper course of Ayurveda, this AVN Arogya happened to be right next to my daughter's chess class in Velachery, Chennai. When I went there they gave a very good consultation. Seeing that, I was really impressed — by the consultation itself. But since one has to come and go as an outpatient there, we would not get full rest. So my husband suggested I come here to Madurai and take rest and see. That is why I came. But having to leave everyone for two days, the children, the family — it was very hard. Moreover I kept wondering how I would manage here on my own. But truly, I received very good hospitality and very good treatment here. Dr. Biju sir was the one who gave me treatment. What I liked very much at the start was that he did a good examination and a good diagnosis. He asked me what was happening, whether it was like this, whether it was this problem or that. I had always thought it was only my neck that hurt — I had it fixed in my mind that it was because of my neck that I could not work. But he diagnosed everything, including why I get colds and why those problems come, and gave me a complete treatment. Really, I thank Biju sir. Because this process has been going on for a very long time for me. Moreover I have very small children. I have a small case. I would always struggle, thinking, what shall I do next. So I am very much happy with the treatment, and my biggest thanks to all thetherapists. They are all young people and they gave us treatment very patiently and very courteously. After that, the junior doctors — what I liked very much is that everyone behaves very courteously. That itself I liked very much. After that, the cleanliness needs no saying. I had thought the Ayurvedic oil would smell and be greasy. But we could not find that anywhere. They maintained the cleanliness that neatly. Housekeeping did the jobs given to them very neatly. And then, very genuinely, even the pakoda in the canteen is made as it is at home, with gram flour and rice flour, no maida and no white sugar. That is highly appreciated. At home we do not use sugar, white sugar, at all. But when we go out we do first take a coffee or a tea. Here we could have coffee and tea without even that worry. So a big thanks for giving us that home living. And I had taken accommodation in J. A small single room, since I was coming as a single person; it was very neat and very good. Even the therapy room is superbly maintained, I think. Really I am very much happy. I had come with a fear about coming alone, but no, it was very good and I was very comfortable. And the treatment has been very successful; my pain has now reduced by about 70%. I have great confidence that if I follow up completely as the doctor said, it will fully resolve for me. Basically I am a storyteller and a writer. My hands work a great deal, because I have to write and after that type a great many things. So I struggled a lot. But really I feel good now. I hope I recover very soon, and I have the confidence that I will tell many stories to many people. Thank you so much. For me they gave a poultice fomentation. Actually, when I came I had terrible pain. The pain was such that I could not even move my head much. At that point, with every single treatment, every day, they would ask me very attentively: how did youfeel this treatment? How did that feel? For my pain, every treatment, one after another, was very good. They gave it very correctly. First they reduced the pain, and after that everything was so that the blood circulation would go properly. They gave me the treatment gradually and I felt good. Because at the time the fomentation was given the pain reduced well on all sides, and finally the pain stopped only where it had to be. Then again they poured a water — that water was slightly warm, they poured it properly hot, as much as we could bear the pain, as much heat as we could take, and it was actually very soothing to the body. They did a good massage and then poured it. After that they did a full oil massage with oil all over and poured oil over everything. Then, as soon as I said I get colds, they mixed some things and applied them to the head. Because I had been very afraid about a cold over those ten days. Bathing twice a day every day, I kept thinking a cold problem might come back to us. They had given the treatment very correctly and in a balanced way on all sides, and it was all very good. That is all — and within these three it has reduced very well for me. After that, saying I needed a lot of stretches, the doctor advised and suggested a yoga session for me. In it, learn the normal exercises, he said. The yoga master was also very good. They taught us everything needed correctly and neatly and beautifully.
