My name is Syed [as heard]. I work in an IT company in Chennai. For about two years I have had a problem with cervical spondylosis, and I also had a sciatica problem. For a long time my relatives in Madurai had been telling me that treatment for this is done here. Since they said it is effective only if you stay as an inpatient, I could not come straight away, because it took time to arrange leave. But now the pain episode suddenly came on strongly, so I took leave and came and saw the doctor. Dr. Biju was very supportive. He told me realistically what to expect, and that this is something that has to be maintained. He said that if we maintain the exercises correctly it can be fully resolved. So I stayed seven days as an inpatient and took treatment: massage, oil massage, steam bath and the like. The pain episode that had started has come down and has completely stopped; I am almost ninety-five per cent free of pain. Now they have taught me exercises, yoga and stretches, which I have not yet finished learning. They have told me to do them daily, and the doctor has suggested that if I keep doing them, it will be maintained so that the pain does not come back. Thanks.
