Peace be upon you, and the mercy and blessings of God. May God's peace be upon all of you. First I will say a few words about myself, briefly. I work as a headmaster at a college at Anaicavur, Ambur, in Vellore district. The place where I am taking this treatment — this is a most commendable treatment. This hospital is the AVN Ayurvedic Hospital. A most splendid hospital in a fine setting. In the railway department they say something in particular: they say GM to GM. That is, gangman to General Manager. The gangman at the base level and the General Manager at the top level, professional. So in this hospital, just as in the railway department, when GM to GM is right everything runs in a good way; likewise in this hospital everyone who works, from the scavenger and the sweeper up to the chief MD doctor at the top level, is doing the work given to them in a most excellent manner. That is most commendable and to be welcomed. In particular I must speak of Dr. Sridevi. There is a way she has of approaching people. It is a very good way of approaching. I have been taking treatment here continuously. I am getting a very good benefit. I came here for low back pain and some small troubles in the neck and back pain, troubles of this kind, and after taking treatment and staying nearly 2 weeks I am going to be discharged. Sometimes, when I am walking in the verandah, some people's phone — they say to me, since coming here it has been just so. As far as I am concerned, they say in English, trust others and others will trust you. Likewise, the first thing a person needs is faith. Wherever we go we must believe that the treatment they give will truly benefit us; we must trust them. Without trust, however good a doctor you take treatment from, if our mind is not right that treatment will be wasted. Likewise, after coming to this place — wherever you go, it is faith that supports aperson. I too tell them that first one must believe. Ayurvedic treatment will certainly give benefit little by little. Here there is a good quiet setting. Free from pollution, sir. Far away from city and town, this hospital with a good atmosphere — when you come and stay here, that atmosphere and their way of speaking and the treatment they give and the therapies they give. There is the way all the workers who work here behave with us. It is such as to give us strength and encouragement and good health. I commend that very much. Further, along with the treatment they give, what we have to do is to act according to what they have said should and should not be done. If we do not do that and do not properly keep to what they call the restricted diet, there will be a relapse. That is something everyone knows. Having had a relapse, we should not blame the hospital and the doctor. Because, as I am a headmaster, I would like to say one thing. When a student is studying at school, if he does what the teachers and the subject teachers and the school and the administration say, he will certainly pass and get good marks. Roaming about, not listening to the words of his elders and teachers, not coming to school properly, not coming properly to the special class and the coaching class — he will certainly fail when he goes and writes and the result is opened. When you ask, how did you fail — if he says they did not teach properly, they did not correct properly, the school is no good, it is not the school that is no good. He is no good. Likewise, while we are here, we must cooperate and believe in order to have the therapy they prescribe properly given. I often tell people, and my students, and at home. First, faith in God, faith in the Creator. In Urdu and in Arabic they say one must make dua. Then there is a formula: dua plus dawa. Dawa means medicine. It equals shifa. Goodbenefit and good healing will come. If we keep taking dawa alone, that is medicine, without faith, we will not get the benefit. This is a standard formula. There must be faith in God. Next, one must take the medicines and tablets. Then we will get a good benefit. So what I emphasise is that good treatment is going on here. A good setting; a good benefit is coming. All those who work in this hospital are people who cooperate in a good way. So my good advice to anyone: if you ask what the difference is between allopathic treatment and this — that gives an immediate benefit. But this is slow and steady. A stomach ache, a headache, a fever comes, we at once take allopathic medicine and it comes right. It may or may not. But with this, if we take the treatment for a certain period and do what they tell us, and then come when they tell us to come and keep taking the treatment, we will certainly get a good benefit. So I heartily commend and congratulate everyone who works in this hospital. Best wishes to everybody, those who are working here. In particular, the other physicians and doctors will also give treatment in a good manner. I expect that. But if I must speak particularly about Sridevi madam, it is enough just to sit with her and exchange a few words and half the illness goes. The rest of the illness is the treatment they give. To that extent her way of approaching people is such. As a mother to a mother, as a sister to a sister, as a doctor to a doctor, she manages this hospital in a good way, and without the least trace of anger in her face her approach is good. She is a model for a doctor, I say, commending her from the heart. Nobody told me to speak like this, or said it would be an asset for us; not a single word was said to me. So I wish to share with you the full benefit I have received. Whoever wishes, whoever is willing, can come here and take treatmentboldly and with confidence, without asking anyone else's advice. All of you who are watching, all of you who tell others of this — pray to God always for my health to improve.
