Hello, my name is Ramkumar. I come from Virudhunagar district. For about 5 months I had a herniated disc problem. Because of that, low back pain would come and there would be pain in the left leg and numbness. So for about 5 months I had this problem. So when I was seen in allopathy they said an operation would have to be done. After that, when I enquired and found out, asking my father's friends, I learned that this hospital existed. So we came here and were seen. When we were seen they said I would have to be admitted for about 10 to 12 days and take treatment. So I said all right, no operation, and came to this hospital and started taking treatment. For the first 3 days I could not see any difference. At first it was as though there were no improvement at all. From about the 4th or 5th day it began to show little by little. It began to show, and now I can see a good improvement of about 60 to 70% overall. Compared with the condition I was in at first, the pain has now improved well. There is improvement, without pain. The numbness in the leg has all gone. It is good. And the therapists treated me very politely and gave the therapy very well. Now, as for what treatments they gave me — generally they gave the oil massage, and they have various kinds of kizhi for giving fomentation. So they heat that and give fomentation over the whole body, especially on the leg and the back. And then they gave an oil bath and they gave a tub bath, and because I said my back hurt, after the tub bath the back pain reduced really well. And the nursing and all of it were good. They bring the tablets to the room at each time; the nurses come. So in that respect there is no problem at all. Overall the treatment at this hospital is very good. The doctor who gave me the treatment was Biju sir. He kept asking what it was and what treatment should be given and how the improvement was, andafter each treatment asked how it was and followed up properly. He gave very good treatment. And after that he has said I should follow it up to a reasonable extent for another 6 months once the treatment is finished. Now they have given medicine for 45 days. He has said it is enough to come and be seen after that. So to a reasonable extent — as for the condition, he has said that if I do not sit for long periods and do not do that sort of thing, and avoid straining, given my condition, it will be fully cured.
