Kannapan

My name is S. R. M. Kannappan. I took my BE degree at Annamalai University in 1969, worked as a chief engineer in the Tamil Nadu Highways Department and retired in 2004. I have had knee joint pain for ten or twelve years. For that I have been to some places three or four times in the past. Although it came right at the time, I could not maintain their dietary regimen. So because difficulties kept coming again, knowing that this was near Karaikudi and Madurai, I came to this hospital. Coming here, within about five or six days it certainly gives good healing. Food without salt, pungency or tamarind — that controls it, as I know well. That we cannot continue to watch and control it at home is, as I well realise, the reason this knee pain keeps coming back. As far as this hospital is concerned, the service is very splendid. At 6 o'clock in the morning they come to check the pressure. Even if we take our own tablets they will not leave it; the nurse comes and takes out the tablets and gives them. They give the decoction. For the treatment, the therapist — that one single therapist does it here is truly to be commended. In all the places I have been, three or four people did it. Here it is one single person. If you tell him where our pain is, he understands it well and does the treatment in a good way, applying the oil in that Ayurvedic method, and does it well. Next, the room cleaning, the room maintenance, all of it is commendable. The nursing service — whatever hour you call, even at night, if you ask for water they bring it at once. This hospital, which is commendable in that measure, should grow further. If I get relief from this for six months or a year — because I am seventy-three years old — if I get relief for six months or a year, then I can come and stay a week like this once again; it was with that decision that I came here. So this hospital is being maintainedin a good way. The patients too are attended to in a good way. The therapists' treatment is the Ayurvedic method of medicine. The doctor comes daily and asks all the details and records them. That is to be commended. Even though this hospital has been in this way for ten years, and even though Sivagangai is my own district, I did not know for a long time that this hospital existed. A relative of mine in Coimbatore — I heard that he had come here and had treatment. One day, on 12-1-2020, when I came here for a wedding function, I came here and met Dr. Biju and asked his advice. He gave some medicine and oil. I continued that at home, and I have come for this one week thinking I must come when I get the time. May his work flourish. It is good. I too have got relief from the pain from this. I will certainly continue to keep to this diet and take his medicine and continue to work at reducing my body's joint pain. I often have faith in the Dhanvantari mantra; it is saying it that I apply the oil there, daily. On the basis of that faith I pray to the almighty that this hospital may flourish further and that all the patients may obtain good lives and prosperity in a good way.
