Arumugam

Hello, my name is R. Arumugam and I come from Avinashi Nagar. I have retired as an Assistant Divisional Manager at LIC. For 2 or 3 years there has been a light pain in the knee. That pain in the low back, in the spinal cord — just doing exercises and this and that and taking some local allopathic medicine and tablets, I would get temporary relief. It seemed to be becoming seriously more painful. Even while walking the pain would aggravate somewhat and I would have to stop. With the low back pain I could not bend. I could not sit on an Indian toilet. As soon as that began, I thought, this is only the beginning; at this stage let us go and take a good Ayurvedic treatment — and many friends who had already come here and taken treatment, colleagues I had worked with, told me so. Generally I had heard of it. Many people at our LIC, the Life Insurance Corporation, have reported to me that they come here and take treatment. So because of that I came. Besides this pain, there has been acidity for about 10 years. Acidity, and because of the acidity a continuous cough; I would keep coughing. It had become a kind of identifying mark for me, that he keeps coughing. So it was to put an end to all this that I came. At one stage it had got to the point where even getting wet in the rain for five minutes would give me a cold, and it would only go with a lot of antibiotics. So I came here on 21 February. I came here and was admitted. Now today I am being discharged; nearly 15 days have passed and I am being discharged. In my present state this pain is not there at all. But you only know when you walk. That is what the doctor said and that is what I feel. 50% has cleared. That phlegm and cough have not been there at all these 15 days. In fact I had brought a tablet in case the cough came. It is so good that I have not needed to touch it. When some phlegm formed slightly they gave onlya little decoction. I did that for 3 days and after that it was exactly right; there was no cough and no phlegm. I could not speak normally for this long before; if I spoke, there would be a clearing of the throat twice or so, and then a continuous cough would come. When I was speaking on the phone my children would say, father, stop talking, you are coughing too much. After coming here, total relief from that cough and phlegm. As for the other two pains I mentioned, there has been a good per cent of relief. They have given tablets for about 2 months, and given ointment. Apply that and then come for a check-up; it will almost come right for you then. The doctor said so, and that is how I feel too. Now I am being discharged today. I am being discharged very happily. I am going home today feeling fresh, as though I were somehow fifteen years younger. In that, Dr. Biju — I heard about him and took his appointment on the phone and came here. From the first day, through these 15 days, he would visit daily and ask about the improvement daily. In the morning Dr. Arya, a Mrs. Arya, would come, and she too would come and ask how it is, how it is, how it is. The doctor daily, and when he came on his evening round too, he would sit for about 10 minutes and ask fully what was happening and tell me what sort of treatment he was going to give and what he was going to change. The treatment in that Ayurvedic method, the massage, the oil, some baths — those young men did all of it splendidly, very well. The young boys who serve all did that well too. That is why I went too. Two or three friends have already asked on the phone how it is, how it is. If I go, I will certainly suggest Ayurvedic treatment. Go at the initial stage. For some people allopathy does not suit at all. It is better to go for this, I would say.
