My name is Uma Veera Subramaniam. They call me Uma. I belong to Madurai. Actually I belong to Kerala. Then after marriage I came to Madurai. But actually for nearly more than 18 to 20 years I have been on AVN treatment here. In those days what I had was back pain, arm pain, leg pain when I walked, muscle weakness, all of that. So I would come as an outpatient and get medicine and go and apply it and do all of that. After some time, when this chikungunya came, more than 10 years back, that came as well. When that came, both my knees became terribly painful. It was a different kind of pain. But I came here and showed it to Dr. Biju. It is always to him that I show it. He changed the medicine and the oil and all of it for me. He gave me kizhi. At home I had the servant apply all those kizhi. But a good effect showed from that. That pain went away without a trace. Then after that I brought even my aged father-in-law here. After coming here he must have been about 83 years old. For them, everything was Dr. Biju, Dr. Biju's treatment; that is how he was. He passed away, my father-in-law; he passed away at the age of 89. He was a friend of Raghava Varier's, and a friend of his father's too; they had been in Delhi long back. Then I telephoned and spoke, and I had already taken treatment here 3 times as an outpatient. That was going well too, but as an outpatient you can only do it once. Now we do not see people as outpatients either — if you look at yourself, get admitted, he said when I came to see him. That was after coming back from Canada, that is, 2 months back. But I could not come at that time. Now I fixed an appointment and saw him. After doing the Covid test and getting a negative result, I was admitted last Tuesday. Now with tomorrow it will be 7 days complete. They give treatment two times. As for what treatments — heating the oil and turning it, applying kizhi andgiving dhara; dhara means for the body. Doing that, and then bathing in hot water, and in the evening they give the kizhi. Vasti treatment. In these 7 days, Vasti on two days. I was afraid of the Vasti itself. But the nurses attended very well. Two people I have to mention. One is Manju. Every nook, every nook and corner with those fingers, whether the hand or the leg or under the foot or the side — she did it well. So did Kasthuri. I want to mention their names and that is why I say it; everyone sees to it well, and then the staff here and the other staff, the office staff, all of it is very meticulous. They come correctly, whether it is the food, or bringing the medicine, or putting out hot water; they did all of it very well. And then the food — I am a diabetic patient, so they gave me a diabetic diet menu. Millet dosai, beetroot dosai, and then rava upma; they combined a lot of things like this and gave it. Even for rice, suited to that, they mostly give this kuthiraivali, that shama, shama rice. All of it was good. More than tea and everything, they give a decoction in the morning. It was a very good thing. And I like this treatment very much. Everyone, thanks to them from top to bottom.
