My name is Shobha Machhi. I come from Umargam in Valsad district, Gujarat. I had AVN, and I found out about it three months ago. In April, at my sister's wedding, I came to know that I had AVN. When AVN happens, nobody realises it. First of all, what is AVN? When I showed it in allopathy they told me to have an X-ray. I had the X-ray and nothing showed up on it. So the doctor started giving me painkillers, a week's, ten days' worth of painkillers, and even then it did not get better. Then my medicine was changed. Even then nothing was clear. So we went to an orthopaedic. When we went to the orthopaedic, the doctor suggested an MRI. When we did the MRI we found that I had AVN — and that it was at the third stage. It was at the third stage in both legs, third stage on the left and third stage on the right. When I found out I fell into a deep depression and became very fragile as well; I had no idea what to do. Then I came straight home from the orthopaedic hospital, and having come home I began searching on the internet for whether there was any treatment apart from this, because at the orthopaedic hospitals everyone had told me that I had no option other than a hip replacement. My age is 29. So I was also very frightened of having a hip replacement — what would happen after a hip replacement, and so on; I had a great many questions. So then I decided to see whether there was any other treatment. I searched on the internet, and searching on the internet I found this AVN Arogya Ayurvedic Hospital, and I called them. Their number is right there on the internet, so I called their number, and I spoke to someone here called Sanjay Bhatt, and within half an hour he asked for my MRI and all my reports over WhatsApp, and I sent him my MRI and all my reports. As soon as I sent them he said, I will tell you within half an hour, ma'am — because I was very frightened and wanted ananswer as quickly as possible. As soon as he had looked at the report and everything, he said, ma'am, you come here, your treatment will be done here, and since you are at the third stage we will stop this. The methods they have are very fine methods, and after coming here the confusion I had was resolved. I asked other patients as well how it had been and whether they had got better, and all the questions I had were cleared here. And I can walk very well now, whereas when I came I could not walk at all, and now I do walk, and I walk for quite a long time, and I have no trouble. Dr. Ramesh sir here gives very good treatment, and the therapists here are all very good. My therapist was Deepa Rani and she treated me very well, and everyone has a very fine nature — Dr. Narendran, Dr. Karthik and Dr. Ramesh sir, and my physio, Dr. Rajesh sir. They motivated me a great deal, and Dr. Rajesh sir supported me very much, and today I walk on my own feet and can walk for a long time. So thank you.
