AVN Arogya Ayurvedic Hospital

Saranya Kannan

Sacroiliitis (SI joint inflammation)

What happened

Mrs. Saranya Kannan came to AVN Arogya with sacroiliitis, experiencing deep pelvic pain, stiffness and difficulty standing, bending and walking that affected her routine and confidence. After limited relief from conventional treatment she chose an Ayurvedic approach. Her plan included Kati Vasti, Abhyanga, medicated steam therapies, herbal anti-inflammatory medicines and posture-corrective lifestyle guidance. As sessions progressed she experienced reduced pain, better flexibility and easier movement, returning to daily activities more comfortably. (Based on the video description; the patient's spoken words were not verifiable from captions.)

Transcript of the video above.

My name is Saranya Kannan. We have come for my husband's treatment. We come from Madurai. He has had back pain for seven or eight months. His leg had begun to hurt a great deal. He could not walk and struggled a lot. At that point it was someone who works with him who suggested this hospital. Dr. Biju sir was the doctor who saw us here. He saw him well. He said it would mean staying two weeks, and told us to take leave. We came and stayed and were seen. Now there is good improvement. He is 70% okay. They said that if he does the exercises it will come right little by little. Compared with how it was before, he is now much better. Everyone, from the nurses to the assistants, looked after us well. Whether it was giving the medicine, or housekeeping, or the restaurant — everything. Everyone looked after us in a very friendly way. What he had had for a year, in two weeks — the way he speaks now, the way he walks now. Whether it was the medicine they gave, or Biju sir coming to see him every day and giving counselling. And then they would call him for therapy. They came twice, morning and evening, and took him along for treatment. With that he has recovered well. Now he walks well again as he used to. Thank you.
