My name is Nalini. I live in Madurai itself. For a very long time, for many years, I had a lot of pain in my back, in the lower back. At that time I saw a great many doctors. I went to allopathy and all of it. They all gave painkillers. But that only reduced the pain for the time being, so I was unsatisfied. In Coimbatore itself I went to an Ayurvedic doctor's clinic and took treatment for heel pain for a long time. That pain never came back to me again. After that, though, the treatment took a long time. It healed well. From then on I had some faith in Ayurveda. Then my brother had come to this hospital. He stayed here about ten days. He saw it and said the environment and everything is very good. You can go walking among the trees and plants. The hospital is nicely airy, he said. So since I already had faith in Ayurveda, I said all right, let us try it here, and I came here and first came. But because of my circumstances at home I could not stay. So at first, for just about eleven days, I took treatment here as an outpatient. At that time the doctor said even then that just coming and going — my doctor was Dr. Sreeja madam, and she was the one who gave me the treatment. She said then that you have to stay like this; if you are to enjoy the full benefit of this treatment you have to stay here. At that time, with my circumstances at home, I could not stay. All right, I said, let me take it in this way at least, and I came as an outpatient and took 14 days. I have now been taking medicine for 5 months. They gave me a hope too; the very way they speak gave me a hope that it would come right. That is why I said, never mind if it is late, and because I had suffered for many years, with the feeling that I must somehow get this done, I kept taking it continuously. Now I got a week where I could stay a little. That was when I asked, and they said, all right, stay a week. Inthat week I came to understand that rest is very important for this treatment. Because whatever we do, if we take the treatment and then simply go and work, the benefit is not as great. Because they give heat and do the oil massage and relax our body, do they not — and if we go back and work, that body gets worn out again and becomes very tired. Then it is as though the pain is there again. Whereas when we rested it was good. So with the week I have taken now it is very good. I have had a lot of hope. I have had a confidence in this treatment that it will come right for me. The therapist who did it for me — the girl from Meghalaya, that young girl. She did it very well. As soon as she came she would ask where the pain was. How was it, madam? Has it reduced a little since yesterday, she would ask. Then she would see where the pain was and massage that place beautifully and give the fomentation just so. That girl did it so well. And the nurses came correctly and brought the medicine. I would say, I will take it myself, I know this medicine. No, no, I will come, however late it is, I will come, the nurse would say, and she was the one who would bring and give the medicine. Likewise the people who bring tea and coffee would come and ask, how is your body, madam? They asked, and they speak very affectionately. Everything they say is very good. It is as though it gives us a freshness. It was very good for me. Thank you very much, ma'am.
