Mathi Illakiya

My name is Mathi Illakiya. I come from Madurai. I had backache and neckache. I rolled off a stage and fell down. In the fall my back and neck were injured. For the first emergency we were treated in allopathy. What they said was that these were just some normal bruises, that it would come right, that it would come right with rest. But when I came home the pain was very severe. My mother had been treated here when she had back pain, and hers had resolved. So it was my mother who suggested we come here and be seen. When I came and was seen, the admission was done on the very first day and we joined from there. As soon as we joined, for the first two or three days they gave treatments, full oil massages. As for the oil massages, for the first two days they did only very mild massages, because the nerves are very fragile, so a gentle person, a therapist, treated me. After that, for about two days, it was full oil massages, and they did those a little more strongly. During this time I felt the pain gradually decrease. First the back pain, and it was the neck pain that resolved completely. Because of the neck pain I had also been somewhat dizzy. Just sitting would make me very dizzy — it was like that. Then, as they kept doing those massages, my neck pain resolved perfectly. Because of that, the dizziness is much less now too. For the backache, as they did it little by little, I gradually felt it. To be honest, when I first came here I could not walk at all. After that, on about the fifth day here — on the fifth day I was able to walk, and I walked to the therapy myself. Before that I went in a wheelchair. Then from the fifth day I walked to therapy myself. My doctor was Dr. Sridevi. She spoke very well. From the very start she did a full analysis while talking — how many days ago you fell, how you fell, asking all of that. And likewise the duty doctors, when they came,took my utmost care of everything, telling me everything from what I should eat to what I do in a day. So today I am being discharged, and mine has resolved completely. I am able to walk about freely. So I am really happy with it. AVN's atmosphere and services are all pinpoint perfect. The environment here is actually very good. You know what a resort is like — the rooms and the garden here are like that, all of it is very good. I go for a walk in the evening; for two days now. Before, I could not go; now I go. I like this environment very much. I think I have to thank the therapists, the doctors and everyone who gave service.
