My name is Kiruthika. I am now working in IT, at a company in Bengaluru. Because of Covid it has been work from home. My neck and back pain became very severe and I have been affected by it for nearly 5 years. I had already been to a lot of treatments. Because I had gone to a lot of hospitals in allopathy, I was not that satisfied. So I knew that AVN was here in Madurai. So when I came here and consulted the doctor, they said that if I had 14 days of treatment I would feel better. And when an MRI scan was taken there was a disc bulge in the cervical and in the back. They gave me a confidence that that disc bulge could be completely cured. Actually I came very afraid. I came with multiple complications. Like, when an abdomen scan was done too, they had said I had PCOD. So all of that together had created a fear in me. So when I came and asked the doctor here, they dispelled all that fear and greatly increased my confidence level. So on the first day, when I came for treatment, I came tense and afraid. Then on the first day they took me for treatment. So from day one, whether it was the nurse appointed to me, or the therapists, or the physiotherapist, they all spoke very freely. So on the first day I was very reserved. Then from the second day I spoke very normally with everyone. Treatments happen daily, morning and evening. So they tell you all the information on the first day. From giving the tablets to the food, everything is brought to the room properly and at exactly the right time. If you look at the room it is very clean and neat. Daily the people who clean the room do it exactly. So I was very comfortable in the room. I had a feeling not at all of being in a hospital or of being in a treatment, but just of having gone to a resort and being very relaxed. For those 14 days I had come on leave. So without that memory of work, and without being bored, the whole timewas engaged. Apart from the treatment, in the remaining times there was the giving of medicines. And then bringing the food, bringing the tea and milk — they would bring all of that exactly. The quality team comes daily and enquires whether there are any complaints or anything to be put right. So whatever we say they keep it very confidential, and whatever complaint we make, solving it is immediate. And then, if you look at the treatment — on the first day, the very moment they put a hand on me I had so much pain. Plus the back too; when I walked I could not go for a walk at all. It would be so severe when I walked. In about 6 to 7 days I had a tremendous relief. So that pain reduced really well. Then in the next 7 days or so they did the strengthening. So starting from the detox, muscle loosening — there was a lot of stiffness from working. So from loosening that, and then for the last few days they have been giving strengthening treatment. Oil massage, fomentation. And then what they call Kadi Vasti, so all of it — the steam bath, and then the detoxing, all of it was exact. Today I feel very relaxed. Without that tension, with all that fear gone, and daily the doctor and Sridevi ma'am come and visit; they visit the room itself. They come and ask daily how you feel today, whether you are better, what pain there is, what complaints you still have. The duty doctor asks daily too. So the more we tell them daily, the treatments to suit that are there the next day or that evening; and because it is like that, looking at it today, compared with the first day when I came, I feel very relaxed. The muscles are very relaxed, nicely. All that stiffness has been completely cured and it is rather nicely relaxed. Besides this the physiotherapist also comes to the room and the exercises are suited to us. Exercises and stretches suited to the back pain and neck pain, and they taughtme when to do them, what to do and what not to do — because I used to do all sorts of exercises wrongly at home, looking at the net. So for all of that, what to do and what not to do in it, they prepared a chart and gave it to me neatly. They too come daily and visit and enquire how yesterday's exercises were, whether anything strained them, that sort of thing. Whatever we tell them, there is exact guidance suited to it — do it like this, you are doing it wrongly, your posture is wrong. And then the medicines. So daily, from day 1, they give fully and entirely Ayurvedic medicines. Before food, after food, exactly; they calculate all of that correctly and prepare a chart and daily the nurses come and give it to us exactly. Even if we forget, we do not need to think about it at all; they come and give us everything. So today, tomorrow I am discharged, and I feel so much relaxed. So after this, how I should be in my lifestyle — they have told me everything. For about one month I should be somewhat relaxed. How to change the lifestyle, what exercises to do regularly. How many days I should take medicines again after treatment. So they have planned everything and given it to me exactly. So they have said that just by following it, it will strengthen even better for me, the back will strengthen. So, on the first day, before I came — after enquiring about this treatment, that is, right at the consultation when I came here, they said 15 days of treatment. So before that treatment, before being admitted here, we must take a Covid test. They follow all the precautions needed for Covid exactly here. The environment is very clean. Daily they clean with disinfectants. Likewise the therapists and nurses here all wear masks and shields. So since we, and the patients who come and stay, must not have a problem either, before they come they only allow us in if we are Covid negative.Besides that, right at the entrance the temperature is checked and then sanitiser is applied, and only then do you come in. Even after coming in, before meeting the doctor you have to wash your hands and sanitise. You use hand sanitiser and only after that do you see the doctor. So all the restrictions here because of Covid are being followed exactly. Plus patients must always wear masks too. So even though the environment here is clean, they keep insisting that we must still wear masks for our safety. Even if we forget, whoever it is, whether the nurses or the therapist, whoever sees us will say, put on your mask. Plus I heard that mostly everyone here has been vaccinated. So even so, they are still following their safety precautions.
