My name is Hakeem. I come from Puthur, Madurai. My problem is that on the left side alone I have had something like a pain for ten or twelve years. There was pain all through my arm and I could not lift it. My arm would fold up and I could not control it. Those were the symptoms. I went to a great many places and sought treatment for this. Then, because I was not satisfied with any of the places I had been to last, while I was talking to a colleague of mine they told me that they give Ayurvedic treatment like this at AVN Hospital. Through that I came and saw Dr. Biju sir. He took my whole past history and looked at it, and said, we can put this right, do not worry, and gave me his treatment. Through that, it is now more than ten days. In these ten days there is a good change for me. The back, the side and everything have eased somewhat. They have also told me to follow this treatment somewhat at home. I am genuinely satisfied with this. The doctor followed me up daily. He would ask what sort of improvements I could see from the treatment, day by day, and depending on the feedback about how we feel, he would change his method of treatment daily, each day. On the first day it was an ordinary fomentation — that is, an Ayurvedic massage and then fomentation. That continued for two days. After that they asked what my feedback was, and after we said what sort of change we could see in the body — and as soon as I said there was no improvement in it, the next day he said, all right, I will change your treatment, and gave a different kind: oil all over the body, heating the oil for the fomentation and applying it to our body, and through that, after that, telling us how to drink hot water, and then they gave the medicines to take internally. They said, follow this. In that itself a notable change became visible. Not only that — the doctors who assist him would also come andask how our feelings were and what sort of changes we could see in ourselves from the treatment. We would tell them too what was happening in our body through the treatment, whether more or less. Because as far as this treatment goes, they carry it out based on what we tell them. Unlike other treatment such as allopathy, they practise this medicine with our full involvement. It is through that that we gain a full confidence, a confidence that we will get better with this treatment. I feel very much better for having come. And I have the confidence that whatever remains will fully heal if I follow it. As for the setting of this hospital, it was a very good setting. And the staff here served us well.
